What Is Vaginal Rejuvenation?
For a long time we have had a multitude of treatments for aging including peels, injections, surgery etc for almost any body part except for helping women reverse the signs of aging in the vulvo-vaginal area. That is until now!!! Millions of women can now address the problems of aging in this area using a painless non-surgical in office procedure that uses gentle radio-frequency to restore their feminine wellness.
Why would women want to rejuvenate their vagina?
Aging, childbirth, weight gain, hormonal changes associated with aging and various medical conditions can result in changes in the vulvo-vaginal area that mimic changes that occur elsewhere in the body.
What happens as a result of vulvo-vaginal aging?
As a result of strenuous childbirth and multiple births the vaginal walls can become loosened (vaginal laxity) resulting in decreased intimacy and ability to achieve orgasm for both her and her partner. Increased sexual satisfaction is one of the most noted improvements after ThermiVa as it can significantly tighten the vaginal canal without any surgery (Individual results may vary). In addition, tightening can also be seen in the outer portions of the vaginal lips. ThemiVa can help women restore the outer appearance of their vaginal area to a more youthful one helping some women avoid the need for surgery to reduce excess tissue (labiaplasties)
With a decrease in hormonal levels that occur with menopause, aging or various treatments many women complain of vaginal dryness. This is a very common problem that can result in complaints of painful intercourse due to the lack of lubrication this can result in an emotionally stressful situation for both women and their partners.
As a result of vaginal laxity and pelvic floor weakening many women experience what is termed Stress Incontinence and an Over Active Bladder. Both conditions can result in an uncomfortable situation for many women. Although there are medications and surgical remedies wouldn’t it be great if there were a painless no downtime non-surgical alternative that could help women reduce these embarrassing problems. Many women have reported that both conditions have improved or completely resolved after going through ThermiVa treatments (Individual results may vary).
What is ThermiVa Vaginal Rejuvenation?
ThemiVa is a painless non-surgical treatment with little to no downtime that uses a temperature controlled radio-frequency to gently heat the outer and inner portions of the vulvo-vaginal tissue that can help women restore and rejuvenate feminine wellness. Radio-frequency has played a part in many medical and cosmetic treatments for many years.
What is a ThermiVa treatment like?
As mentioned above a ThermiVa treatment is painless so no anesthesia is requried and most likely there will be no downtime. The treatment is done in a private room by one of my all female medical assistants. After laying down on an examination table you feet will be placed in stirrups just like at the gynecologist office. A smooth S shaped curved probe that is approximately the size of a finger is lubricated with a warm gel and then gently introduced into the vagina. The probe has an electrode at one end that delivers precisely controlled thermal radio-frequency energy that gently warms the tissue of the internal and external vaginal tissue. Treatment times generally run approximately 45 minutes and many women describe the sense of warmth of a ThermiVa treatment to that like having a hot stone massage. The hand held probe is single use only, which means you can be confident that there is no risk of infection or transmission of disease from one patient to the next. After the treatment has been completed patients can resume their normal activities including having sexual intercourse. Most patients notice some improvement with just one treatment but it is recommended that patients complete a series of three monthly treatments. Maintenance treatments can be done once or twice a year if so desired.
